About us: Government Institute of Forensic Science Aurangabad is a premiere Institute in the state established in 2009 under the aegis of Government of Maharashtra's Higher and Technical Education department.  We offer four curriculum viz. B.Sc. Forensic Science,  M.Sc. Forensic Science, and two P.G. Diplomas (1. Forensics & related law;  2. Cyber Forensics & related Law (Link of Syllabus https://gifsa.ac.in/syllabus/) affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad.

The 3years graduation B.Sc. Forensic Science program includes, seven major subjects as Forensic Physics, Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Biology, Forensic Science, Forensic Psychology and Digital and Cyber Forensics, with Forensic related Law.
While, M.Sc. program offers four specialization namely 1. Fingerprint and Questioned Document Examination, 2. Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology, 3. Forensic Biology, Serology and DNA Fingerprinting, 4. Digital and Cyber Forensics and IT Security.  The diploma courses are of 1 years.
PG dissertation in their final year helps them apply the acquired knowledge to a real world problem thus enhances analyzing power and develop research attitude.
