WINGS' Annual meeting 2021                          Diversity and Equality in Academia -                  What can we do better?
Diversity in the workplace has been shown to enhance creativity and group performance. In the last decade, great progress has been made in terms of diversity and gender balance overall, but in academia there is still work to be done. In the Nordic countries, women still occupy less than 30% of full professor positions, and the unbalance is even more significant for women of colour, immigrants, and other minorities. In this event we will learn about what is being done to improve this within Lund university, what policies are most successful
across the Nordic Universities and what is the general situation in Sweden. The goal is to learn what can be done better and how we all can contribute to make academia a more inclusive and diverse environment.
