The ECA Highveld will present a Certificate of Compliance Completion Session - Alternative Supplies (PV etc) in a virtual classroom from 16:00pm to 20:00pm on 27 July 2023 online using Zoom, which is a video conference tool that allows you to interact with others over the internet and at our office.
Zoom is free to download: https://zoom.us/download and is relatively easy to setup, however, you will be given clear guidelines on how to do this.
To attend the course, you will need to register and sign in and then use the link provided by the ECA to attend the course.
Even though the new electrical Certificate of Compliance has been around
for more than a year, there is still an alarming number of electricians who are
using the old CoC and Test Report and, even more alarming, is the lack of
knowledge around the legal requirements of ‘new’ CoC and how it is issued as well as how documentation is happening in the PV Environment.
Needless to say, there are CoCs being issued that are ‘not worth the
paper that they’re written on' and to address this situation, the ECA(SA) Regional Technical Committee
together with the Highveld region office have decided to make affordable
short-course training available at a convenient time for ECA members and
non-members.
What differentiates this course is an in-depth view on alternative supplies and the documents required for alternative supplies.
During the Course the following will be covered:
1. What is being covered and how to cover your installation
2. Completion of the COC
3. Completion of the Test report
4. Completion of the PV Test Report
The
course will be presented by the Highveld Region using Zoom on 27 July from 16h00 until 20h00.
The
cost of the course is only R200 for members and R400 for non-members.
