EXTENDED 6 WEEK SESSION
Practice Players is a concept that we implemented after the requests of parents/players to train more consistently throughout the season than what sporadic clinics could offer but without the travelling & financial commitment required of club volleyball. THIS PROGRAM IS DIFFERENT FROM COURT CRASHERS.
Practice Players is a more intense training program to prepare players for school volleyball.
Court Crashers is more "rec-league" related.
After you have submitted your registration, you will receive an email with a copy of your answers as confirmation of registration. Bring payment to the first session or prepay (see methods below).
You will receive an email a couple of days before the first session as a reminder with session specific information. If you find that you cannot participate, please send us an email Lacy@BirminghamVolleyball.com.

This is for all skill levels. Players will practice twice a week for 1.5 hours each practice
There is NO TRYOUT required. Simply sign up & show up!
BVC is not responsible for lost volleyballs. We provide them for warm up & competition so we suggest that you do not bring your own. Kneepads are recommended. We suggest that players wear their hair up so it doesn't get in the way. Athletic shoes (NOT Keds/Converse/Slip Ons) are required but they do not have to be volleyball specific. Athletic shorts/spandex & t-shirt are ideal. Bring your own water bottle. You may refill it with the water fountain but you cannot drink from the fountain. Practices are not open to spectators. Parents may bring their child in to the first session to handle check-in & payment. After that, please send only the player in. Players will be sent out after practice. Parents should not come in to pick up their child.
Dates/Times for Sept/Oct 2022 6 Week Session
Please understand that if you cannot make your group's session, it isn't advisable to attend the other group to "make it up." This is because younger/less experienced players could get hurt with the older players.
There will be players that are in the middle. They should attend Group A and ask the coaches to evaluate their readiness for the older/faster/higher level pace in Group B.
AGE DIVISIONS
Group A) 10 years old-beginner 13's/14's **If your child is new to volleyball, he/she should attend the session with the beginners, regardless of age.
Monday 6:45-8:15pm, Thursday 5pm-6:30pm
Group B) Experienced 13's/14's-18's
Tuesday 7:15pm-8:45pm, Thursday 6:45pm-8:15pm

Players will practice as a group, mostly participating in skills drills but there will also be competition drills to gain "game-like" experience. There are not any formal "matches" played but players do gain game-like experience with the drills that are run.
***Players will need to bring a jump rope and two 2-3 lb weights for conditioning.***

**Above are the anticipated times for this event. Sometimes we have to change them based on the number of registrations being drastically lower or higher than estimated. We try to not have to do this as we understand that you make plans based on published information but sometimes it is out of our control. We want to give everyone the opportunity to play and moving some things around allows us to do that.

**You must register for EACH new session of Practice Players. You are not automatically signed up for the next session just because you are in this one**
You can register for each one now. You will receive an email a few days before the session begins with any updates and to make sure your child is still participating. There is no obligation to register.
