Advocacy - We are seeking volunteers to serve as the advocacy point of contact for their community and for their state. State Leads take part in one conference call per month to help monitor legislation and plan events. This work is incredibly important and NEBDBAC’s Advocacy Manager will guide you every step of the way!

Development - NEHA’s Development Committee will be working hard in 2020 to achieve three primary goals: maintain sufficient revenue to fund our programs and services, increase non-industry support, and grow our membership. Development Committee members participate in one conference call per month and take a lead in NEHA’s many fundraising events like the Unite Walk, Golf Tournament and Red Tie Soiree, just to name a few!

Programming - NEHA’s educational programming is at the heart of our mission. Our goal is to have volunteers serve on a Programming Committee and take the lead with behind the scenes activities like volunteer coordination, youth track planning, rap session coordination, and more.

Advisory Council - This new council is being established to provide the Board of Directors with a mechanism for soliciting suggestions, feedback, and ideas from the broader community. The Advisory Council will provide community members with a forum for engagement beyond attending events. With only two conference calls per year, this council will provide an inclusive way for the Board to get direct feedback from the community.

Board of Directors - This important group of volunteers are responsible for the financial oversight and governance of the organization. We recently have had a few board members complete their term, so we are currently accepting applications for qualified, dedicated people inside and outside of our community.
