Congratulations families on your middle school student reaching this milestone. We will have an 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony outside, in-person at DCIS to honor and celebrate your students passage into the next phase of their learning and life. We do hope that you can join us.

Our plans include safety guidelines for COVID-19. If you and your family decide to join the celebration, know that these protocols are in place:
1. All in attendance will be wearing masks, except for those speaking at the podium.
2. Families will be sitting in pod groups together
3. Each student will receive tickets to give to four of their guests, for a total of five people in attendance.
4. Entire event will also be recorded.

Free tickets will be sent home with your student or reserved at the entry for your family if your student is currently learning remotely.

While there is no dress code, it is customary for students to dress up as this is a milestone celebration.

We will have grab and go ice cream at the end of the event.

Felicitaciones a las familias por este gran logro que han alcanzado los estudiantes de octavo grado. Tendremos nuestra ceremonia de Continuación en los exteriores de la escuela, en persona, para honrar y celebrar este nuevo paso a una nueva fase del proceso de aprendizaje de sus hijos. Esperamos que puedan acompañarnos.

Nuestros planes incluyen lineamientos para el COVID-19. Si usted y su familia deciden acompañarnos en esta celebración, es importante que tenga en cuenta estos protocolos:
1. Todos los presentes deberán usar cubrebocas, excepto aquellos que estén hablando en la tarima.
2. Las familias se sentarán en grupos, juntos.
3. Por cada familia puede haber hasta cuatro personas invitadas, además del estudiante, para un total de cinco personas.
4. También se grabará todo el evento.

Los boletos gratis serán enviados a casa con los estudiantes o pueden ser entregados directamente en la entrada del evento si su hijo/a está actualmente en aprendizaje virtual.

Aunque no hay un código de vestuario, se acostumbra que los estudiantes se vistan de forma elegante para esta importante celebración.  

Habrán helados para llevar al final del evento.
