Eligibility: Artist must be a member of the UC San Diego community (student, staff, faculty, emeriti, alumni, or retiree).

To complete your application, the following items must be received by 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 13. Late submissions will not be considered. A complete application includes the following items:

Check should be made payable to "UCSD Retirement Association", note in the memo line: "Visual Arts Group Summer Show". Send payment by campus mail to attention: Gayle Ta, mailcode #0026.
**Images of each artwork: You may enter up to 3 pieces in the show, we require a photo of each piece for consideration. Preferred format is PDF, png, or jpeg. Files should be no larger than 2GB each. Send to:
visartsgroup@ucsd.edu **Artist Biography: Your bio page will be displayed during the Art Show Reception. Format requirements: 1 page PDF or Word document, letter size, portrait orientation, with 1" margins. We suggest including 1-2 paragraphs about your art practice and color images of your work. Artwork Specifications:
Each Artist may submit up to 3 pieces of art. Small groupings of art may be considered one piece. Media: 2D and 3D media are welcome. Over-sized pieces (larger than 24" x 30") may be accepted if space is available, size limitation is applicable to both 2D and 3D artwork.

Preparation for Display
a.
2-Dimensional entries MUST be framed and wired for hanging, no exceptions. Example instructions available at Framing Matters:

3- Dimensional entries must specify dimensions on entry form. The artist is required to provide your own display equipment (i.e. easels, boxes, table with linens or drapes).

Artwork Drop Off & Pick Up
If you are notified of acceptance, approved artwork(s) must be delivered at the specified date and time and location. Artwork must be ready to display and clearly labeled with title of entry, artist's name and contact information. 2D artwork MUST be framed and wired for hanging, no exceptions. For 3D artwork, artist must provide display equipment.
a.
DROP OFF: All approved artwork(s) and any needed display equipment, must be delivered on Monday, June 24 between 8:00-10:00 am to the Red Shoe Room at Price Center West. Artist must remove all packing materials from area. Artwork must be delivered during this time, no exceptions.
b.
PICK UP: Artist must pick up artwork(s) on FRIDAY, August 30 between 8:00-10:00 am from the Red Shoe Room at Price Center West. Artwork cannot be held after the pick-up date, no exceptions. If needed, you may send someone to retrieve your artwork on your behalf. Notify the Visual Arts Group at least one week prior to the pick up date of your contact person’s name and cell#.
c.
The Visual Arts Group is NOT responsible for the safety or location of the artwork after the pick-up date.

The Visual Arts Group reserves the right to use images of your work for promotional purposes. (As examples: posted on our website or event fliers).

The Visual Arts Group reserves the right to reject any artwork.
