Use this form to book our DfE approved and fully funded Senior Mental Health Lead two-day training course. This is followed by support as you carry out your role and 12 months access to the Mental Health Lead Toolkit, a step-by-step guide to developing a culture of staff mental health in your school.
You will also be sent a free copy of Steve Waters' book, 'Cultures of Staff Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools' Open University Press/McGraw-Hill which we will refer to during the training.
If your mental health lead has left, your schoos is entitled to a second allocation of funding.
Please note: All state schools in England are entitled to free Senior Mental Health Lead training. Funding is guaranteed until 31 March 2025. The cost of the training is £895 or £1200, depending on whether you choose Option 1 or the 'done for you' Option 2 on the booking form (see below), and each school receives £1200.
OPTION 1: £895 for 2 days' training, 12 months' membership of the Mental Health Lead Toolkit, the Mental Health Lead resource bank, membership of the course WhatsApp networking group, and 12 months' support.
OPTION 2: £1200 for 2 days' training, 12 months' membership of the Mental Health Lead Toolkit, the Mental Health Lead resource bank, membership of the course WhatsApp networking group, 12 months' support, 'done for you' Staff Wellbeing Survey, and 'done for you' School Wellbeing Report.
If you are an independent school outside the state school system, you are not eligible for funding. The cost of the training is £795.
If you are a school in Wales, the cost of training is discounted by 25%, reducing to £687.
Your finance officer will be sent an invoice. After we have received payment from your school, approximately two weeks before the training, you will receive instructions on how to join the training and your copy of Steve Waters' book.

2) We will provisionally allocate you a place and notify you of this via email.
3) Apply to the DfE for funding, quoting our course code SMHL093. Make a note of the DfE website:

5) When your Finance Officer/Business Manager receives the DfE funding, they pay our invoice.
6) We confirm your place on the Senior Mental Health Lead course.
7) One week before the course, we send you joining instructions and a copy of Steve's book: Waters, S (Ed. 2021) 'Cultures of Staff Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools' Open University Press/McGraw-Hill.
