Hello!

We are beyond excited to announce that this spring, we will be hosting the first annual Bayview Glen Debating Tournament.  The current date of this tournament is Saturday, April 10th, 2021. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament will take place entirely online through video conferencing software. The goal of this tournament is to promote the essential critical thinking skills, while also offering the opportunity to hone their debate skills. We also understand that during these difficult times, debate can be an escape and allow for students to focus on something which brings them joy.

This tournament will be fully online as this allows the tournament to continue no matter the specific circumstances. Currently we are looking at each school bringing a maximum of 3 teams of 2 people, with 1 extra team if we have space. We also are requesting that each school provides one volunteer judge for each team they register for the tournament. There will be a cost of $5 per team in order to cover the costs of the placard awards and administration of the tournament. Below is a link to a Google Form that we would ask all schools who are interested to please fill out (you will not have to issue payment at this time).  This form is to help us gauge interest and numbers. We would really appreciate it if you could fill out the form as soon as possible.
