Thornwood Primary pitch community survey
Hi, We are seeking to find out how interested the Thornwood community would be in improving the old blaes pitches at Thornwood Primary School.

Love Thornwood is working in partnership with  Glasgow Eco Trust and Glasgow Community Food Network Food & Climate Action project as well as local Councillors and Glasgow City Council's Education Services.

It would be appreciated if you could take a few minutes to complete this survey and share your views on the potential for a community greenspace, growing space or similar that could be used by the Primary and Nursery schools and the local community.

The survey will be open for responses until midday on Monday 22 April 2024.

What will happen to the information I give?
The survey responses will be aggregated together and analysed before being used in a report and submitted to support the proposed pitch improvement project. Any information you give us will be anonymised. Any identifiable information will be omitted from any published material released to the public. The information collected will be used for statistical and research purposes only. Any contact information you provide will only be used to contact you about this project and will not be shared with any other third parties. All data will be stored by Glasgow Eco Trust in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

Thornwood Primary pitch
Thornwood Primary school is located in west Glasgow within Ward 12 Victoria Park and the Thornwood Community Council area. The school is bounded by Thornwood Avenue to the east, Thornwood Terrace to the north, Thornwood Drive to the west and Kennoway Drive to the south.

There are two old blaes pitch located on the west side of the site split over two levels. A new MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) hs been installed on part of the lower pitch. Access to the site is via the school and only accessible during school hours and not currently accessible to the public.

Current responsibility for the pitch sits with Glasgow City Council's Education Services estate management department.
