Indiana A. Philip Randolph Institute
The mission of the Indiana AFL-CIO A. Phillip Randolph Chapter aims to educate, empower and mobilize the next generation of Black labor leaders in Indiana. To A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin, APRl's co-founders, the fight for workers' rights and civil rights were inseparable. Randolph and Rustin forged an alliance between the civil rights movement and the labor movement. They recognized that black people and working people of all colors share the same goals: political and social freedom and economic justice. We need to revamp our APRI programs in Indiana to lead the way in fighting for black working Hoosiers.
