The Well Church, North Swindon Mission Initiative Roll
Signing up to The Well's Initiative Roll is a way of saying 'I belong'. It's an act of commitment to the local church and to the church as a whole. It also enables The Well to play it's part in the wider church and to be represented in the various electoral bodies which govern the Church of England. Those whose names are included on the Mission Initiative Roll are able to vote in the Annual Meeting.

What is the Mission Initiative Roll?
The Mission Initiative Roll is the Church of England's official register of the people who worship at The Well and determines the number of representatives we have at Deanery Synod (the Anglican churches across Swindon). If you consider The Well to be your home, have attended worship with us for at least 6 months and are eligible to join the roll, we would love to encourage you to fill in this application form.

Who can be on the Mission Initiative Roll?
Anyone who calls The Well home, and is eligible to join can be enrolled onto the Mission Initiative Roll. Under the Church Representation Rules, any lay person (someone who is not ordained) may join the roll if they are baptised, have worshipped at the church regularly for at least the last six months and are at least 16 years old. If you would prefer to complete a paper form please email hello@thewellswindon.org

How your data is used
We use the personal data you provide in this application to enable us to manage, maintain and publish the roll in accordance with the Church Representation Rules. The information may also be shared with other bodies that form part of the wider Church of England such as the Diocese of Bristol for administrative purposes i.e. manage elections. We are required to publish the names only of those who are on the Mission Initiative Roll in electronic form available to the public on request from our church office. Every six years a new roll is prepared and those on the previous roll will be informed so that they can re-apply.
