Parents & Families,
Barbour County Schools (BCS) is committed to academic excellence. In our continuous effort to plan for the 2020-2021 academic year, we are considering the feasibility of our students returning to traditional learning with remote learning options. In an effort to support our research, we would like to better understand your perspective regarding your child’s return to school.
The learning platform options to consider are:
Traditional: Students attend classes for face-to-face sessions Monday – Friday.
Staggered: Based on geographic location, students attend face-to-face class sessions two days per week.
Remote: Remote teacher online instruction using Schoology w/Google Classroom integration.
Reopening schools will include mandatory face masks to be worn at all times, sanitizing stations, daily temperature checks, social distancing to the extent possible, isolation rooms for students or employees who exhibit symptoms, and a host of other precautionary measures.
Barbour County Schools will continue Remote Learning as an option for parents who feel uncomfortable sending their child(ren) back to a traditional school setting.
Your input is valuable and plays an important role in our decision making. Please visit our district website at
