Black Suit Initiative Membership Application-LYH

The Black Suit Initiative(BSI)  is a FREE leadership and community engagement program for middle and high school young men based in Greensboro, NC. This program allows members the opportunity to improve academic performance, explore their career interests, and participate in positive team building exercises.  After the successful completion of the first year, young men earn a full black suit. The suit is replaced as the student grows.  Members are allowed to remain in the organization until they graduate from high school.

In the 2023-2024 school year, our program seeks to begin expanding into the Lynchburg, VA area. Our first year will be a pilot program which will allow us the opportunity to learn the dynamics of the city. We are looking for 25 rising 6th-10th grade students to serve as our community advisors/ambassadors for our program.

Meetings will take place on Saturday mornings between the hours of 8:45AM-1:30PM. Times will vary based upon the activity. Meetings will be in person and virtually.  Excellent attendance and active participation are necessary to remain in the program.
