Kittredge Chess Club Registration '23-'24 Session 3 (January 19th -- March 8th)

Hello Kittredge community! My name is Jeremy, and I’m a passionate chess player and coach who is excited to share a love of this beautiful game with Kittredge’s students.

Chess Club is run in six week sessions. The sixth week is always a pizza party!

Classes will be held on the following dates:

-Friday, January 19th, 

-Friday, January 26th

-Friday, February 2nd

-Friday, February 9th

-Friday, March 1st

-Friday, March 8th

This session will continue our focus on tactics.

Chess Club will be open to all Grade 1-8 students, regardless of previous experience with chess.

Each lesson will be split between a short 15-30 minutes of interactive instruction and 30-45 minutes of gameplay. While there is plenty to learn, our primary focus will be on creating a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment to enjoy chess and build community.

All materials will be provided.

This session will cost $150 per student. Please fill out the below form to register your student. 

Payment will be due on the date of the first session and can be paid via venmo to @jeremy-mann-1, cash, or check addressed to Jeremy Mann.

Beginners: Still learning the rules of chess

Intermediate: Knows the rules but not familiar with opening principles or checkmating patterns

Advanced: Understands a little bit about opening principles and basic checkmating patterns

Competitive: Plays competitively in tournaments. If applicable, please provide ELO.
