"Spread the Word" Program Application 2024-2025
We at the Center of Excellence in STEM Education and the NE TN STEM Innovation Hub are facilitating a "Spread the Word" program again this school year to increase awareness of our supports for STEM education across northeast Tennessee. 

Those who are awarded a $100 STEM Kit will be asked to share our information and resources with your networks, as described below, so that we can reach more educators and community members across our service region. Kits will include consumables, books, and other STEM supplies.


Process
  • Complete the application below by Apr 22, 2025 (or before all kits are awarded).
  • Choose below the 4 ways you will increase awareness and reach of our programs.
  • Once you get confirmation that you have won the Kit, email Carrie evidence of completion of your chosen activities by Apr 29, 2025: schefflerc@gmail.com
  • Get confirmation from Carrie that you have met criteria.

Selection Criteria

Recipients will be chosen from those who complete this application on a first come, first served basis, with an emphasis on (where possible), 
1) representation from the 9 counties we serve and grade bands (PK-5; 6-8; 9-12), 
2) first time recipient of kit this academic year, and 
3) the potential to increase awareness of our supports.


Eligibility
  • Must be a teacher, PK through grade 12, formal or informal, in one of the northeast TN counties that we serve as the NE TN STEM Innovation Hub, listed here:  https://www.etsu.edu/coe/stem-education/about/counties-we-serve.php
  • Applications must be submitted on time.
  • One application and STEM kit per person, per academic year (exception: if extra kits remain in spring 2025, those who agree to participate and meet criteria by spring hub meeting may be eligible for a second kit)
  • Must agree to complete activities chosen below and share evidence of completion prior to the Hub meeting 
  • Must attend the Hub meeting on May 6 to receive kit
