UC Santa Barbara: Vice Chancellor for Research
The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) is launching a search for the next Vice Chancellor for Research (VCR). This search will be supported by Berkeley Executive Search (BES), an internal executive recruitment team for UC Berkeley. We/BES are working with the search committee and committee co-chairs on the comprehensive search process.

We write to seek your feedback as a stakeholder in this search. We welcome your perspectives and suggestions regarding the opportunities, challenges, and priorities for the VCR role, as well as the skills and experiences that would support someone's success in this position. Your input will inform BES' and the search committee's efforts to search for and attract potentially strong candidates.
