Room to Grow Pitch
Welcome to the Room to Grow Pitch Competition.  See below for criteria.
  1. Must be a business located in Maryland.
  2. Must attend the in person pitch competition.  
  3. For profit and Nonprofit businesses are welcome.
  4. Attach participant will have 3 minutes to pitch their idea to include Name of Business, Owners, Problem You are Solving, Solution (product or service), who is the attended user and buyer, who's on your team, and how you will make money, what would you use funds for.
  5. Winners will receive funding for their business and further assistance from EDAC to help grow their business.  Funding will be available after a brief checkin with either the Director of EDAC or another resource.  We want to help develop a plan of action for the businesses that win.  Funds will be disbursed using a credit card from Morgan State U.  Funds will be available in 15 days. Please make sure you have a way of accepting payment.  1st Place Price is $1,000; 2nd Place Price is $500. 
  6. There will be three main judges and audience participation as well.  You are welcome to invite guests (limit to 5). 
Note:  There must be at least 3 companies in order for the pitch competition to take place.
