The Women's Coaching Alliance is on a mission to develop female leaders through coaching youth sports. We're currently recruiting coaches and mentors for future seasons.
Who you are:
- You are passionate about providing young women the tools and experience to be future leaders
- You understand the value a mentor provides
- You understand the value of watching your coach in action as you know real examples work best with brand new coaches.
- An even tempered and patient individual

As a Leader Mentor, you'll:
- Attend the Leadership Academy Training
- Attend one weekly practice and games throughout the season. Weekly practices are held on weekdays and games on weekends and are paused for the holidays
- Have a weekly debrief and prep call with your coaches and coach mentor
- Work with your coaches on setting goals for themselves and the team, preparing for and debriefing games and practices, and adjusting plans based on team dynamics
- Help your coaches identify the leadership skills they're developing through coaching (e.g., communication, collaboration, adapting one's style etc)
In order to be a Leader Mentor, here's what's required:
- At least 5 years of leadership, management or mentor experience
- The ability to explain - and identify examples of - great leadership in action
- Experience working with entry level employees
- References from a previous employee, mentee or mentor or boss who believes you'll be a great mentor

- WCA Coach Training materials at our Leadership Academy
- Co-mentor to partner with that will help on the technical sport aspects.
- The invaluable experience of being a mentor!
