Brown University Interviews: Spring 2023 Application
Becoming a Brown University Interviews interviewer affords you the ability to converse with anyone you've ever wanted, even momentarily, to speak with, be it divisive figures or childhood heroes. It also provides a powerful opportunity to explore perspectives, amplify voices you might not have otherwise encountered, and network. No experience is required — we train you at every step from start to finish.

The following describes what we do and the expectations of each member:
  • Responsibilities include identifying and contacting figures of interest, interviewing them, transcribing those interviews, then editing those transcriptions into articles published on our website.
  • Occasionally contribute to peer editing other interviewers’ articles.
  • One article per semester is expected, but you're welcome to publish as many as you want! Roughly, you should expect a 10- to 20-hour time commitment for every interview you conduct, edit, and transcribe. (So an interview is similar to a personal project.)
  • You're welcome (and encouraged) to interview whomever you are most passionate about. We do not assign interview subjects, nor you do not need to get your selections pre-approved; who you talk to is your call.
If you are still interested, please fill out this form. This form will be open semester-round. Shortly after completion, a Brown University Interviews interviewer will be in contact with you.
