ALL VIDEO CLUB PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO THE RULES EXPRESSED BY ICAM AND MUST AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TECH CONTRACT IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ICAM Video Club Participant
Student Conduct, Equipment & Technology Contract.lCAM is pleased to make available to students access to state of the art video production equipment. This includes cameras, lights, audio equipment, editing computers and more. In order to ensure a safe, efficient and appropriate use of these tools and technologies, we are asking that all students and parents/guardians read and sign the following agreement.
Students are not allowed to bring food or drinks into the Studio, Control Room or near Editing Stations.
ICAM computers should only be used for projects assigned in Video Club, and only with the programs the allowed by the Club. Games, Social Media, chat rooms, Instant Messenger, email, Streaming Services, Blogs, etc. are
NOT permitted during Club time.
Students hacking, altering unauthorized files, or using the network in any way other than intended will loose their Club privileges.
Students must not move any equipment or cables without permission. Keyboards and mice must not be swapped between machines.
Any behavior which threatens the physical safety of the equipment or other students will lead to the loss of Club privileges.
Students will will respect fellow Club Members at all times. No inappropriate language tolerated.
Club participants agree to never engage in data vandalism. Data vandalism is defined as any malicious attempt to access, harm or destroy data/projects of another user; deleting or editing files of another student, creating documents/files which falsely incriminate another student.
Students will not “customize” computers in any way unless given explicit permission by a staff member. This includes: changing the appearance of the display (colors, fonts, desktop pictures), downloading any programs from the internet, uploading any outside media, from personal drives, phones or other devices; as well as adding or changing passwords.
Consequences for failure to follow these rules:
1st offense: Call Home
2nd offense: Loss of 1 day at Club
3rd offense: Removal from Club
These policies and procedures must be adhered to, and any violations of them will be met with zero tolerance.
Students must abide by their signed contracts.
The use of ICAM Equipment is a privilege, not a right.
If this contract is broken, the student’s Club privilege will be revoked.
