UK Black Pride 2021 - Love & Rage

Thank you for your interest in performing, speaking or running a workshop at UK Black Pride 2021. UK Black Pride – Europe’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent – is proud to announce that our 2021 event will take place over three days: Friday, 2 July – Sunday, 4 July.

Building on the success of our 15th birthday digital celebration in August 2020, which attracted 30,000 viewers, UK Black Pride’s 2021 event will extend to three days, recorded live at an as-yet-unannounced venue in east London.

The three-day celebration will take place digitally and includes a growing programme catering to a broad range of the communities UK Black Pride represents and makes space for. The decision to host UK Black Pride 2021 as a digital-only event comes amid

Applications are now open for performers, and applications are welcome from LGBTQ performers of colour around the UK and across the world.

Our performance application is split into 4 sections:

Your Act - Where you tell us about your performer self
Your experience - Where you let us know if you've been on stage before
On the day - Where you communicate what we need to know about your act on stage
About you - Where you can tell us about you, the person behind the performer

There are 2 kinds of performance at UK Black Pride:

Pre-recorded: where you provide a video of your performance
Live: where your performance is broadcast live from our stage at a London location
