Musical improv drop-in workshop and practise jam session with improv musical director Jenny Laahs (The Spontaneous Players, TBC Improv Theatre, Men With Coconuts). Come along for some musical fun in a relaxed and supportive environment!
Taking place on Wednesday 21st December 2022 at Colorsound Rehearsal Studio, Edinburgh. Located right by Haymarket Station for convenient public transport links, and there's also a free car park.
The workshop will take place from 6.30 - 8.30pm, and will feature games and exercises to help you develop confidence in your musical improv skills, as well as a chance to practise scenes-to-songs, with optional feedback and guaranteed applause!
Musical improv is the art of creating a song on the fly, in the context of an improvised comedy scene. We'll explore this step-by-step via games, exercises and scenes-to-song. All levels of musical improv experience welcome, although best if you've got some general improv comedy/theatre experience under your belt.
The price for the workshop is £16pp. Limited spaces available! Payment is required in advance to secure your place. If you cancel with 48 hours notice a full refund will be given (as per the notice required for the room booking).
