2020 BuildFest Activity Planning Worksheet
Thank you for helping to make BuildFest a success! We are very excited about all the cool activities proposed. Just to recap: BuildFest will be from 9-2 pm on Saturday, March 21st at Watauga High School. Lunch for volunteers will be provided. See info on set-up below. Please try to have at least 2 people at all times in your booth. This will make bathroom and lunch breaks easier. You may want to schedule people in 2 or 3 hour shifts. Please plan to stay and help clean-up your booth area at the end of the fest.

NOTE: The Playhouse may ask you to revise or change your activity if it duplicates another offered by a different group or we ancipate a problem with your plan. We are happy to provide feedback, assistance, and may be able to loan supplies.

BuildFest is aimed at children from 2-12 but some activities are more appropriate for one age range than another. We are aiming for 25% for Preschool (2-5), 25% for Early Elementary (grades K-2), 25% for Upper Elementary (grades 3-6), and 25% for all ages. Children will be accompanied by parents so you can also consider having some content aimed at them, such as “activities to do at home” or signage explaining the academic concepts behind the activity.

It is wonderful if you are able to provide your own materials. Please avoid activities requiring expensive materials. In a few cases,The Playhouse may be able to help purchase some necessary materials or get them donated. If you need art supplies or paper, we can probably provide them, but please let us know what you need. It is very helpful if you can pick up the borrowed materials between now and Friday (4/12) morning.
Set-Up plan *
We will be setting up between 6:30-7:30 pm on Friday, March 20th at the High School and between 8:00-9:00 am on Saturday, March 21st.
