We want to hear about it!
The Klondike Institute of Art and Culture is a vibrant, member-driven artistic and cultural centre at the edge of the Arctic that cultivates creativity through film, music, visual, literary, and performing arts.
Our mission is to increase the quality of life of Yukoners through the creation, presentation, and celebration of arts and culture because we believe that arts and culture creates strong, empowered communities.
We are always seeking mutually beneficial partnerships with community members, artists, instructors, and groups to help reach our strategic goals to:
- Encourage meaningful connections between audiences, artists, arts workers, community members, and established professionals.
- Make resources accessible to artists and members.
- Provide training to all sectors of the cultural industry such as: artists, crafters, instructors, technicians.
- Improve community health and wellness through the arts, especially for youth, BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, and seniors.
- Build strong relationships with Tr'öndek Hwëch'in and Yukon First Nations people.
We plan our programming seasonally, typically three or more months in advance, with some flexibility for short-term planning based on availability. Please allow up to 2 weeks for a response.
This is just the first step in a successful partnership. Once we receive your request, we will reach out to discuss your idea further!
