Columbia SPS: Faculty Climate Survey
SURVEY GOALS:

To provide a broad understanding of faculty experiences at the Columbia School of Professional Studies.
To compare conditions with peer institutions.
To access insights and data to create recommendations to develop a Faculty DEIA Strategic Plan.
To inform overall Columbia SPS DEI policy and practice improvements.

We are administering this survey to faculty to develop a better understanding of the extent to which Columbia SPS climate supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

To fulfill the recommendations of this survey, we will ask you for your perceptions of the climate at Columbia SPS, as well as your perceptions of how Columbia SPS supports faculty and overall diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. We will also ask you questions about your identity in this survey to develop a better sense of the diversity on our campus.

Your participation is voluntary. We deeply appreciate your cooperation and willingness to provide information that will help us better understand our School's climate. We are committed to ensuring that our campus has an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment, and your participation in this survey as faculty is integral to help us work toward this goal.

You may stop taking the survey at any time or choose not to answer particular questions. You may also go back and change your responses. If you wish to stop taking the survey, simply leave the survey without hitting the “Submit” button at the end. We will not record your responses until you hit the “Submit” button. The information you provide will be solely used to inform and improve policies, practices, and mentorship at Columbia SPS. Your responses are anonymous.

Columbia SPS leaders of this survey effort are Jennifer Goez, Ed.D., Senior Director of Faculty Recruitment and Communications Strategy and Erwin DeLeon, Ph.D., Chief Diversity Officer. They can be reached at spsdiversity@columbia.edu
