From September 2020 all primary schools have been required to teach RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education) as part of their curriculum. The guidance focuses on heathy relationships and keeping children safe in the modern world. It also covers a wide range of topics relating to physical and mental health, wellbeing, safeguarding and healthy relationships.
The Jigsaw curriculum which we have adopted as a school to fulfil this statutory requirement covers issues such as building self-esteem, recognising feelings and emotions, healthy friendships, differences and similarities between girls and boys and challenging stereotypes, rights and responsibilities and growing and changing. Details of this are available on our website. All lessons are delivered in an age-appropriate way
