Fire Performance - SOAK 2024
You are applying to perform and manipulate fire at SOAK 2024, which takes place May 23-27 in Tygh Valley, OR. There will be designated areas and special instructions for fire this year. Once we receive your information we will review your responses and contact you with any questions. Leading up to the event you will receive an email  explaining all aspects of being a fire performer at the event, including designated areas, fuel requirements, conclave during the Saturday night burn (not mandatory), onsite meetings and general ways to make sure you are being as safe as possible for yourself and your community.

SPINNING IS ALLOWED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. Please read and understand the communications understand where you can safely light up. We want to maintain the ability to share our fire art with everyone at the event!

This application lets you specify whether you'd like to spin on your own and/or join the SOAK Fire Conclave. The Conclave will perform just before the main burn on Saturday, May 25th around 9:00pm with a short meeting that afternoon to walk through the show. We would like to encourage group choreography if you have a group, or if you would like to form one. Individuals are of course always welcome!

YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN SAFETY ON SITE. The following safety equipment is mandated by our event permit:
- A trained safety person who is able to watch for unplanned ignitions, ground fires, and who has the ability to extinguish fire props, or performers as needed.
- 1 charged fire extinguisher to stop the spread of fire if there is an uncontrolled fire event - you can share this among your group, but there needs to be one available during your burn.
- Duvytine available to extinguish props once your burn is complete, or as needed.
- Proper Fueling container with a closeable lid, placed far from ignition and performance space.

IF YOU'RE NOT SOBER, DON'T SPIN FIRE!!
