Purple Army Absence Request 2024-25
A PARENT/GUARDIAN must fill out this form.  You will receive an email verification letting you know if this absence request has been approved.

The Jackson Band Staff works diligently to make sure that students are able to participate in many activities during their time in high school. We must be notified of any schedule conflicts as far in advance as possible so that we may work to find a resolution.  
Unexcused absence from a rehearsal or performance will result in lowered grade in that area and may result in change in performance status (change in chair placement, change in ensemble, change in performance eligibility). No make-up assignments are given for unexcused absences.
Excused absence from a performance will result in a make-up assignment being given to the student. A director must be notified as soon as possible. Examples of excused absences are: severe illness, death in the family, participation in a school event that has been excused by the band directors in advance.
