This training is a collaborative offering between the Center for Indigenous Midwifery and Hummingbird Indigenous Doulas.
Hummingbird Indigenous Doula Services is a culturally-responsive, full-spectrum doula program serving families in King County.
Center for Indigenous Midwifery is an Indigenous-centered organization with a commitment to capacity building opportunities for Indigenous Birthkeepers. CFIM's vision is "Healing generations with Indigenous midwifery wisdom and culturally-centered family support".
We invite applications for this doula training from self-identified Native American/Alaska Native/Hawaiian/Pacific Islander community members.
This training will be held in King County, WA (address and other details will be provided upon acceptance and is open to Washington state residents only. There is no cost to participants to attend. Unfortunately, no travel scholarships are available.
This training will be held:
Thursday: November 3rd 4-8 pm (Dinner provided)
Friday: November 4th 9:30-5 (Snacks + full lunch)
Saturday; November 5th 9:30-5 (Snacks + full lunch)
Sunday: November 6th 9:30-3 (Snacks + full lunch)
Attendance at all sessions is required to receive a training certificate.
