First Descents Informal Whitewater Kayaking 3 Day Trip - Bozeman, MT

Dates: June 27-29, 2023 (I am exploring an additional option for a Yellowstone Tour on the 26th)

***This is an informal FD meet up and NONE of the cost is covered by FD unfortunately

Cost: - $400

What does this include? 3 days of paddling on the rivers around Bozeman, MT (Gallatin, Yellowstone, etc.) Where we go will depend on the flow...below is a tentative schedule.

Day 1 - Tuesday 27th -

Meet up at the Bozeman Pond 9-12 PM - Skills (Paddling, Roll, etc.)

MAP Brewing - Lunch 12-1 PM

Gallatin River - Big Sky - Green Bridge afternoon paddle (5) 1-6 PM ish

Day 2 - Wednesday 28th -

Yellowstone River - Yankee Jim?? 9 - 2 PM

2-4 Lunch and possible Bozeman Hot Springs Soak?

Optional - 4:30 PM Moose Creek to Bridge on Gallatin River - Community Paddle

Day 3 - Thursday 29th -

Yellowstone River - Big Timber to GreyCliff 9-5 PM

Surf Wave, Picnic on the River for Lunch

NEED RENTAL GEAR? This will be an additional cost of $150 for the 3 days on the river and will include ALL required gear (PLEASE FILL OUT RENTAL SECTION BELOW IF YOU NEED GEAR)

Transportation: This would need to be set up and paid for by you. You can fly into the Bozeman Airport or you could road trip and drive to Bozeman. Bozeman will be the hub for the days of paddling

Lodging: Once we have people committed we can look into finding a shared rental or you can take care of your own housing for the duration of the trip

Meals: This will be at your own cost. We will visit a few local places in Bozeman like MAP Brewing or Momma Macs for lunch on paddling days but you will need to cover the cost of your food or get groceries for you to eat during the trip.
