Regardless of where you are taking a summer school class, we are collecting information to assist with accurate scheduling for next school year. Novi High School only accepts credit from Michigan Public Schools and approved summer school programs.
In order to ensure that your credits will transfer, please submit your planned courses to this form for approval. Do not send a separate email to your counselor asking for summer school course approval. Students will be contacted via their Novi student email within 2 weeks of submitting their form of approval to enroll.
If as a result of taking a summer school course (or not taking a course you originally planned to take), your schedule needs to be adjusted for next year, it is the student's responsibility to complete a schedule correction form that will be shared in August.
Due to the change in Michigan graduation requirements, students in the Class of 2028 should NOT take an Economics course this summer if it does not expressly indicate they will also be awarded .5 credit of Personal Finance. At this time, we are not aware of any summer school programs offering this option and encourage you to wait before taking this course. (This ONLY impacts current 8th grade students, Class of 2028)
