As a small, self-funded studio, we hire a variety of contractors to help move things along when the work gets overwhelming. Currently, we’re creating a short list of narrative writers to help us during those times with the following tasks:

- Take a provided general story outline and create a well fleshed out roadmap with 2-3 narrative branches.

- Use the provided character descriptions to craft how characters would interact in the scene.

- Write out the story beats and play-by-play of what the characters are doing, saying, and feeling in the moment, in a short story. No dialogue writing required but dialogue suggestions are more than welcome.

The submitted work must be fleshed out and detailed enough that it can easily be turned into dialogue and character actions in the game. We take that roadmap, transform it into dialogue, and test it in the game.

Deliverables: A short story, with the above included.

Because we are a no-crunch studio, we pay a flat rate for the week that you’re working on it, taking into consideration that it won’t take a full 5 day work week and understanding that writing never really shuts off - We come up with our best ideas when on a long walk or taking a shower and want to encourage our people to do the same.
