The purpose of DEIA grants are to provide funds to IMEA member teachers to increase Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA) to music in Iowa schools.

Three grants are available. One per year.
IMEA members can apply for more than one grant.
Executive Committee members are not eligible.

DEIA Grants:
1. Start-up Music Ensemble or Class Grant ($1500, Grades PK-12) - To start progressive, non-traditional, emerging or cultural ensembles or classes that will increase the percentage of students participating in music at a school or district
2. Existing Music Ensemble Grant ($500, Grades PK-12) - To support existing school progressive, non-traditional, emerging or cultural ensembles or classes
3. Music Curriculum Enrichment Grant ($500, Grades PK-12)  - To support innovative music pedagogy in music classrooms
