1. Students, please discuss course selections with your parents, and ask a parent/guardian to electronically sign this form before submitting.
2. If you'd like to make changes to your course selections, you will be able to request changes in the fall 2024.
3. Please keep in mind that if you are not placed in your first choice courses when you receive your schedule in the fall, it is due to a master schedule conflict. Please help us by selecting back up elective choices below.

5. If your student plans to dual enroll or enroll in a CTE program in 11th grade, please note that below with course details. Parents and students, if assistance is needed with the dual enrollment admissions process, please email me (
jczymbor@newlothrop.k12.mi.us) to set up a meeting.
*Deadline: Complete Dual Enrollment, CTE and Early College Applications by March 1st. 10th graders will not be able to participate in the 5th year early college program if this deadline is not met.
6. Eleventh graders will be placed in Algebra 2 or Advanced Algebra 2 based on teacher recommendation. While both are college preparatory courses, in order to best serve our students, we are offering two levels of each course with different approaches to learning the content. Students and parents may expect to receive a letter this spring with course placement information, and if you have any questions or concerns about placement following the receipt of the letter, please contact the high school principal.
7. All courses are subject to change depending on staff availability and School Board Approval.

During the 2024/2025 school year, any course in this catalog may become virtual to
provide safe continuation of education in the event of students not being able to safely
attend school.
