In what ways are you willing to assist? Please choose all that apply. Application Processing: This is a very good option for people who live out of state and want to help virtually. You will be required to contact personal references, vet references, personal phone interviews and to make recommendations.
Event Planning and Fundraising: You will help out in planning events and fundraisers (someone who lives outside of one of our main foster areas will not be able to participate in these events, however, can still help with planning virtually).
Home Visits: These visits are done virtually with Zoom or another form of virtual meetings. The volunteer will have the applicant walk them through their residence and complete a home visit form to the coordinator following the visit.
Transport: This person will have to travel with their vehicle (which needs to be insured) and at their expense for gas. They will have to pick up a dog and transport that animal to either a new home or a foster home. This person should feel comfortable with meeting new dogs and be able to make appropriate decisions in sometimes difficult situations.
