Columbia University Undergraduates are invited to participate the annual undergraduate research symposium which will take place on Friday, October 15, 2021.  Students will receive a confirmation email with additional information and instructions for the symposium once this application is received.

Abstract (150-300 words). Please use the third person to describe your work (these descriptions will be gathered into an electronic booklet that will be published in conjunction with the symposium!), and remember that your description should be jargon-free and accessible to a general audience. Double check for syntax and spelling errors as well! *
Please submit a headshot photo via email to URF.  REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING: Photos should be a clear, in focus, close up image of your face in color. Keep in mind background and clothing choices, as this will affect the quality of image online. Photo files must be less than 128 MB. Allowed file types: PNG, GIF, JPG and JPEG. No PDFs files. Images must be larger than 80x100 pixels. *
Due to the ongoing pandemic, please respond to the following:  I understand that I am expected to attend the event for it's entirety at the designated time provided by the URF office.  The URF office will confirm the program format well in advance of the event including length of time. Please note past symposia have run from 1 hour and a half to 2 hours. *
Please acknowledge:  I am confirming that I will provide all materials required of me by the deadlines provided by URF to participate in the symposium. I understand that missing materials may mean that I am unable to participate in the event and will be notified by URF should that occur. *
