Verified Beef Production Plus (VBP+) provides cattle producers with knowledge and training on sustainable practices. Agriculture sharps are objects such as needles, remote darts, glass syringes, glass medical bottles and scalpels, and other items. Since such objects can pose a health risk to both livestock and humans, the prudent use and in particular the disposal of these items is important and necessary. Agriculture sharps play a crucial role in farming and animal husbandry. 

The Olds College School of Agriculture and Technology is heavily focused on improving the agriculture industry by providing agriculture based education and research. The following survey is to be used for research purposes for the Bachelor of Applied Science Agribusiness Degree program offered at the college. The objective of this survey is to gain insight on the perceptions and current practices for on-farm sharps and livestock health product disposal practices. The outcomes to this survey will be used to support a technical review of the use of current on-farm sharps disposal methods by producers, along with disposal methods for livestock health products.
