WHAT:
High School students with and without intellectual disabilities that will support activities designed to engage Special Olympics youth leaders and develop their knowledge of inclusive youth leadership, management of Special Olympics events, and community programming during Special Olympics Washington State Games.

WHEN:
Youth Leadership Experiences will be held during the following State Games: 2021 Winter Games (3/4-3/7), 2021 Spring Games (6/3-6/6) and 2021 Summer Games (8/19-8/20). Youth Leaders will stay overnight at the Games and support a variety of activities from Thursday-Sunday.


REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIFIED PAIR (A student with and a student without ID)
-       Same Gender, 14-19 years old. NO Seniors.
- Must know each other and participate in activities in the same school
- Volunteered at Special Olympics events or conducted events in their school

REQUIREMENT FOR ADULT MENTOR
-       Should be the School Liaison, Coach, or on the Unified Schools Leadership Team at the school

COST: SOWA will cover lodging, meals, and transportation costs for the Unified Pair and Mentor.
