Expressions of Interest are being called for students who would like to audition for the 2020 Rose Bay PS Show Troupes - Girls Junior Show Troupe / Girls Senior Show Troupe / Boys Hip Hop Crew.

All students in Years 2-5 in 2019 are encouraged to audition regardless of whether or not they receive dance tuition as an extracurricular activity.

Audition Dates:
Week 8, Term 4 2019  - School Hall
Yr 3-6 Boys Hip Hop Crew - Monday 2nd December- 1.10-1.50pm
                                     open to all boys currently in Yrs 2-5 (2019)
Yr 5-6 Girls Senior Show Troupe - Wednesday 4th December - 1.10-1.50pm
                                    open to all girls currently in Yrs 4-5 (2019)
Yr 3-4 Girls Junior Show Troupe - Thursday 5th December - 1.10-1.50pm
                                     open to all girls currently in Yrs 2-3 (2019)

Dancers are required to wear leggings or school sports uniform and jazz shoes (if they have) or bare feet. Hip Hop Crew are to wear sports trainers. Dancers will participate in learning a short dance combination to be performed in groups of three (approximately) and will be assessed on the following:

                          ability to memorise with accuracy set dance steps, skill, technique, performance quality

Dance Intensive and Sydney Eisteddfod are two COMPULSORY dates and students should only audition if they are available for both of these. Please read the dates and times below before deciding to audition.

2020 Rehearsal, Dance Camp and Performance Dates:
Dates are subject to change however this is what we know at this time.

Weekly rehearsals 1.10-1.50pm, for the four terms of 2020
         Yr 3-6 Boys Hip Hop Crew - Monday - 1.10-1.50pm
         Yr 5-6 Girls Senior Show Troupe - Wednesday - 1.10-1.50pm
         Yr 3-4 Girls Junior Show Troupe - Thursday - 1.10-1.50pm
Dance Intensive - Compulsory
                        Yr 3-4 Girls Junior Show Troupe - 10.00-2.00pm - Sunday 23rd February
Yr 3-6 Boys Hip Hop Crew - 10.00-2.00pm - Sunday 15th March
Yr 5-6 Girls Senior Show Troupe - 10.00-2.00pm - Sunday 22nd March
City of Sydney Eisteddfod - Compulsory - 1st and 2nd August

Costs:
                        Costume fees:  $110 + GST per dancer - (dancer will own the costume)
                        Dance fees:   $12 + GST per dancer per lesson (34 lessons per year)
                        Group Accident Cover: $5 + GST
                        Dance competition related charges:
            Entry fee / photos: $15 + GST
            REDed Staffing: $17 + GST
                        Dance Intensive fees:  
                    Term 1 Dance Intensive:  $45 + GST per dancer

TOTAL YEARLY DANCE FEE:  $600.00 + GST (no further costs) (REDed is an Active and Creative Kids Provider)

If you wish your child to audition please complete the below form online at        or complete, scan and email to: amanda@reded.com.au. If your child receives a place in one of our three RBPS Troupes payment in full is required by Friday 31 January, 2020. A contract will be provided to all parents for signature to confirm commitment. REDed has an 80% minimum attendance policy with 100% attendance expected. This is a full year commitment. Refunds are not applicable. Any unpaid fees at time of commencement will require dancer to forfeit position to another dancer on short list.
