Middle School Math Instructional Resource Adoption Committee
The Mercer Island School District is engaged in a process to select and adopt new teaching and learning resources (curriculum) for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. Teachers, administrators, and a consultant from the University of Washington started the process, but now the selection committee would like to add other stakeholders and parents. The goal is to recommend new instructional materials to the District's Instructional Materials Committee by the end of March 2020. Therefore, the commitment to this committee will require approximately three evening meetings (3:15PM to 6:15PM) and at least one full day during the week (8:30AM to 3:30PM). The committee asks that each member attends the majority of scheduled meetings, recognizing that other conflicts will arise.
If you would like to be considered to participate on the Middle School Instructional Resource Adoption Committee, please complete the following survey. Fred Rundle, Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services, will notify interested stakeholders about next steps prior to the winter break. This application will close on Friday, December 13, 2019.
