UPDATE! THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO MARCH 4 AND AT A NEW LOCATION (ANMC).
The Alaska Native Birthworkers Community (ANBC) is pleased to partner with Gwich'in artist Rochelle Adams to offer an in-person beading workshop for Alaska Native birthing families.
Our goal is to provide Native birthing families with an opportunity to build community with one another, to participate in a culturally enriching activity, to celebrate our arts and traditional practices as Indigenous peoples, and to learn about ANBC.Our mission is to serve Native birthing families to feel supported, well cared for, and full of the information they need to make confident choices around reproductive health, birthing, and parenthood. In doing this, we seek to reclaim as well as create new ceremony and heal our ancestors, ourselves and future generations who may have been harmed through the colonization of our bodies, healthcare, and birthing practices.
