Naloxone Training
Presented in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority
Date: October 3
Time: 2:30 - 3:30pm
Where: TBA, U of R Campus

Learn about Naloxone (a.k.a. NARCAN), the 'antidote' to the effects of opiate overdose. Learn about the signs and symptoms of opiate overdose, and when to administer the drug to a client. At SEARCH, we have a Naloxone Kit on the premises at all times, and it's a great skill to have in any helping profession as most work places in health and social services have a kit on-site!  This training will also be beneficial to you if you or someone you know experiences opiate addiction or uses opiates. Kits will not be distributed at this training, but information on how to acquire one will be presented.

Registration is limited to 15 participants.
