This is the application to rent a garden plot for the 2023 growing season at the Lewisburg Community Garden, which will run from April 1 to December 1. The Lewisburg Community Garden is located on the corner of St. Anthony Street and N. Water Street in Downtown Lewisburg.
Sliding Scale Garden membership fee this season:
Please use the scale below in order to self-identify where you fall and the amount you are comfortable paying for your plot. We are using this sliding scale as a way to ensure that all gardeners who wish to join us can afford to participate and the garden expenses are shared among garden plot renters according to their financial ability. **Your financial information will not be distributed.**

$60 Garden Workshops:
Each year, we aim to offer a series of educational workshops on gardening and related topics, including a free summer workshop series in May, June, and July.
Be a Volunteer:
Garden members are encouraged to volunteer in various ways throughout the season to support the Garden. Every gardener can find a way to help out in the garden, whether that's by turning compost, mentoring a new gardener, or lending a hand in the community-side of the garden during regular volunteer hours.
Application details:
Plot rental applications are due on Sunday, March 26, 2023. There are 38 plots available for rent. If more than 38 applications are received by the deadline, a lottery will be held to determine who will receive a plot. We encourage people to join with neighbors, family, and friends to share plots, allowing more people to access the Garden. If selected to receive a plot, you will pay your garden fee, sign a garden member contract, and attend an orientation session before you can begin gardening.
Three types of plots are available:
-10X12-foot in-ground beds
-6X16-foot raised beds
-4X8 foot raised beds. Raised beds will be given to individuals with physical needs first.
How to determine preferred plot size: how much food do you want to grow for your household, how much time you can commit to tending your garden, raised beds require less bending over, but usually need more watering.
Garden members are required to either attend an orientation session at the garden (Sat 4/1, 10am-noon) or watch short orientation videos. The 2023 LCG Plot Renter Contract can be found
here.
