Learn to loom knit by making a baby blanket!
No experience is necessary to take this beginner's class, but those with a little experience are also welcome to take it. This class will cover hand position, terminology, casting on and binding off, flat knitting on a round loom, and sewing separate pieces together. These skills can also be applied to making sweaters, toys, and other loom knit projects. This class does
not use afghan or blanket looms, but will instead teach a technique for making any sized blanket on any sized loom. We recommend this class for ages
8+ due to the fact that classes will last 1 hour and younger children may struggle with the attention span.
We choose class times based on everyone's availability, so we will contact you with class options once enough people have filled out the form for us to decide on a schedule. We will not be able to offer classes if there are less than 5 people signed up, so we may end up needing to cancel certain time slots if this happens. Classes start the week of 1/21 and meet once a week for four weeks. The cost is $40 a person, plus a supply fee of $35 to cover the costs of yarn and looms.
