DEI Biomedical Seminar: Alicia Wooten, PhD
The Immunology Graduate Program is pleased to welcome Dr. Alicia Wooten to speak as part of our DEI Biomedical Seminar Series. Dr. Alicia Wooten (she/her) is a proud San Antonio, TX native who received her Ph.D. in 2019 at Boston University focused on lung immunology. She is an assistant professor of biology at Gallaudet University who is passionate about accessible science communication and co-founded Atomic Hands, focusing on STEM topics in ASL. Dr. Alicia Wooten is a deaf scientist who is involved in making sure STEM is accessible while also learning to navigate her own journey.
