As a Strength Coach you will be responsible for working daily with athletes on the training floor and report directly to our Director of Performance to facilitate athlete programming and development.
We are seeking individuals with a variety of experience in the disciplines of player performance (S&C, pitching, data analytics, etc.) and are especially interested in those that have a history of independent learning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience lifting weights
-Knowledgeable about resistance training, fitness, etc.
-Able to facilitate a high energy training atmosphere
-Monitor athlete training programs
-Teach, demonstrate, and correct faulty movement and lifting patterns
-Emphasis on teaching the fundamentals of lifting weights, comfortability working with players ages of 10+
-Work with BDG team on collaborative research projects
-Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Docs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift >100 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday. Exercise demonstration and guidance through various patterns including: bending, throwing, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling, hinging and squatting are movements performed daily.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
-First-Aid + CPR certification
-Some prior experience in a high performance training environment either as an athlete or coach
