In this online workshop we will share kaiako Cathy Upton’s story of how she has grown and celebrated science at Country Kids Kindergarten. Hear how she has overcome challenges and discovered the benefits of having a strong science presence at her centre.
We will be sharing videos of Cathy’s reflections, providing time to discuss any questions you may have as well as identifying what steps you might take to ensure tamariki have access to quality science education in the early years.
This session links to all of the strands of Te Whāriki as well as to the Science Learning area and key competencies of the NZ curriculum.
This session will be valuable for both early childhood and primary school teachers.
