Foreword for Junior Membership

All Juniors attending coaching lessons are required to be members of Buckhurst Hill Bowling and Lawn Tennis Club, having completed a Junior Membership Form on-line as well as having paid the appropriate subscription.

Junior Membership with BHBLTC provides:

- Off-peak (Monday - Friday 3-7pm) access to the tennis courts including a dedicated mini court in a safe and friendly environment (Courts are bookable only through Adam Webb 07944 115550). It should be noted that only children aged 14 or above are allowed at the club unsupervised.
- Flexible group and private coaching lessons throughout the week with an LTA accredited and highly experienced team
- Age and ability appropriate lessons to aid development, including use of bigger and slower balls in earlier age groups. Juniors are encouraged to play effectively as a group or individually with the opportunity to make new friends
- Advice on technique, tactics and nutrition to aid development

- Tennis Camps available for all juniors during School Holidays

- Social events on-court and off being arranged for all ages

- Club tournaments and competitions provided for both enjoyment and development purposes

- Tennis coaching equipment and changing facilities subject to BHBLTC Safeguarding Policies are provided
- A welcoming environment for children of all ages and abilities. This helps to develop self-confidence, mental health and physical health of course!
- An opportunity to enter regional tournaments for those with higher ambitions, including guidance on national tournaments

It is the Club’s policy to encourage parents/guardians to register their child for British Tennis

GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS 2018

The Club has a contract with a qualified tennis coach who is aware of what is required to meet the General Data Protection Regulations (May 2018) with regard to Juniors under the age of 16. The coach collects details of junior AND maintains that personal data on a secure computer database solely for the purposes of administration and distribution of the club communications. Such data will never be supplied to an outside organisation except as required by the LTA as previously detailed on this application form.
We do not offer any of our own online internet services.
