Join us as we take down, wash, and re-hang curtains for 40+ Windows covering 3 floors.  Curtains will be re-hung damp.  All laundering materials will be provided on site.  

The Woman's Friend Society is committed to helping other woman. The organization was established in 1876 for the express purpose of assisting women and girls. Today the Society carries out its mission through the operation of Emmerton House and support for other Salem organizations. Members—all women and all volunteers—participate through committees whose work ranges from knitting hats for premature babies to helping at Brookhouse, an historic Salem rest home for older women.

Adult Females are preferred, but men are welcome

A background check is required and will be sent after you sign up.

Restrooms and drinking glasses for water are available on the premises.

Parking is available on the street only.  The side street adjacent to the house is FREE, while the other side is metered.  A third parallel street allow for 2 hour parking, but may offer a longer time frame.  There is also FREE parking at Salem Common which is not too far away.
